Meet the RDS Staff

Alex Plowman - Vice President of Operations/Partner

Alex Plowman has more than 17 years’ experience in radiation therapy, including extensive training and experience with Eclipse, CMS, Nucletron, Prowess, and 3D Line treatment planning systems. He currently provides several cancer centers with treatment planning for 3D, both mlc based IMRT and solid compensator IMRT, LDR and HDR brachytherapy, as well as pre and post planning for prostate implants. He works comfortably with Matrix, Mapcheck and Radcalc QA systems. He has extensive experience with Aria and Mosaiq®  electronic medical records, as well.  Alex has served many roles in his career including therapist, chief therapist, dosimetrist, director and now owner/partner in RDS.  Alex began his education with a Bachelor of Science degree in Radiologic Science from the University of Louisiana-Monroe and expanded his knowledge by obtaining a degree in Radiation Therapy at the University of Louisville James Graham Brown Cancer Center.

Johnny Sanders – President/Partner

Johnny Sanders has been in the information technology field since he left the Marine Corps in 1983 where he was a field communication technician.  He brought his technical knowledge to the health care industry in 1996 when he became the IT Director at Vicksburg Medical Center.  After leaving Vicksburg Medical Center, he opened his own network consulting firm specializing in small medical clinics.   His firm was one of the first in Mississippi to set up VPN circuits between medical clinics and remote offices using DSL technology.  Johnny was providing all of the voice and data support for the cancer center in Greenwood, MS when a unique opportunity arose.  The center needed a dosimetrist but could not get one to move or commute.  The solution was to connect a dosimetrist five hours away to the center remotely.  Thus partnering with Alex Plowman, CMD, and Remote Dosimetry Services was born.
Johnny is a 2000 graduate of Mississippi College, in Jackson, MS.

Jamie Pitcock - Dosimetrist

Jamie has training and experience using Prowess and Eclipse planning systems, Mapcheck QA, Mosaiq® and Aria electronic medical records. Jamie also understands billing and compliance issues as well. He has been with RDS since its inception and is vital to the company.  Jamie earned his BS degree in Radiological Science from Baptist College of Health Sciences, Memphis, TN.  His career has included serving as a radiation therapist and chief radiation therapist at a central MS cancer center.

Dusty Powers - Dosimetrist

Dusty Powers is proficient with multiple planning systems, including Eclipse, Pinnacle, Prowess and Nucletron, the Mapcheck QA system and both Aria and Mosaiq®  electronic medical records. Dusty has extensive planning and treatment experience with IMRT, IGRT, HDR, LDR, SRS and 3D planning. Dusty has his associate in science degree in radiation therapy from Hillsborough Community College in Tampa FL. He worked as a radiation therapist for five years before receiving his training in dosimetry from a private MD Anderson affiliate.

Wilson Gaillard - Executive Director for Marketing and Communications

In his 20-year career in health care administration, Wilson has served in nearly every capacity from Director of Development to Chief Executive Officer at several for-profit hospitals.  After participating in a $200 million hospital acquisition and building program, he decided to start his own part-time consulting firm, providing services to private practices and healthcare systems. One of his clients, a health care provider in the Southeastern United States, lured him back into a full-time position as Administrator of that provider’s oncology program.  Remote Dosimetry Services was born as a spin-off of that practice. Wilson continues to serve as administrator at that cancer center and with RDS. Wilson is a graduate of the University of South Alabama, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Human Resources Management.
